Charles K. Hall, Jr., 89, from Ooltewah, returned home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, following complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Charlie was born in Greencastle, IN on January 7, 1932, and graduated from DePauw University in Greencastle where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
After serving in the U.S. Army in Korea, he began a 40-year career in commercial real estate, having worked for Shell Oil Co. and Kroger Supermarkets before retiring as a real estate executive in the regional office of ‘Atlanta from the JC Penney Company. For several years after his retirement, he was a consultant to the shopping center industry. He was a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Charlie was an avid tennis player and also enjoyed boating, snow skiing and biking in the Rockies. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Christ in Chattanooga.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean Williamson Hall; son, Thomas (Susan) Hall, Ringgold; daughter, Leanne Hall, Collegedale; grandson, Aidan (Stephanie) Hall, Decatur, Georgia; granddaughter, Alaina Hall, Athens, Greece; and great-granddaughter, Mirella Jean Hall, Decatur, Georgia.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Pastor David Hall will officiate

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10 at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
