Final meeting between Greek and Turkish officials for positive discussions on the agenda
Greek and Turkish officials met in Athens on Monday where they held a meeting as part of a dialogue on the Positive Agenda in the fields of economy and trade.
Specifically, Greek Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, concluded his third meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Sedat Onal, on Monday.
The meeting was held in Athens within the framework of the Positive Agenda of dialogue with Turkey in the fields of economy and trade.
Both parties expressed their satisfaction with the progress made on specific issues.
Specifically, they welcomed the start of negotiations for the signing of a cooperation protocol between Enterprise Greece and the respective Turkish organization Invest in Turkey, the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates against COVID-19, the progress of the joint committee for tourism, as well as the reactivation of the Joint Economic Committee, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The two senior officials also discussed trade and business relations between the two countries, prospects for collaboration in transport and telecoms as well as closer cooperation to address environmental challenges.
