The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period May 26 to June 2, 2022. Due to its length, this report has been divided into six parts. This is the last part. Please note that an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Other Law – GW Carver Dr. – In reference to a third party calling about a woman on the spot who is not acting herself and may be having a panic attack. The people at the residence said everyone was fine and didn’t need any help.
  • Traffic stop – Maple Ln. @ E. Marable St. – Vehicle stopped for failure to maintain lane. The driver gave several false names/dates of birth. It was eventually discovered that the driver had an arrest warrant for failing to appear in reference to narcotics and tampering with evidence by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. She was also charged with giving a false name/date of birth and misdemeanor obstruction.
  • Suspicious People – Marable to Birch St: In reference to a man and woman walking towards Winder. The man had a warrant out of Tennessee, but only in the state.
  • Dispute – Knight St. – In reference to one subject taking jewelry from another. Report taken; recommended remedies.
  • Traffic Stop/Arrest – Highway 78 West/West Spring On-Ramp – Male subject was arrested for speeding. Searching for PC due to smell of marijuana coming from vehicle. He was arrested for Possession of Schedule 1, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug-Related Items, and Speeding. Transported to WCSO without incident.
  • Juvenile Problem – Baron Drive. In reference to an upset and disruptive 14-year-old at home. Juvenile suffers from autism and other illnesses. Walton County EMS responded but did not transport. The complainant stated that she was contacting the Mobile Crisis Response Team.
  • Property damage – Baker St in reference to a damaged letterbox. Report taken.
  • Lost item – S Madison Ave – In reference to a lost/stolen tag from a 2003 Yamaha YZFR6. Report taken.
  • Property Damage/Hit and Run – Chick-Fil-a, no visible damage to plaintiffs vehicle. Report number provided to complainant.
  • Traffic Stop Service/Warrant – Golden Pantry Hwy 11 – Male subject was arrested for a window tint violation, he was arrested on an outstanding Athens-Clarke County warrant.
  • Follow-up – Baron Drive. In reference to the Advantage Crisis Response Team requesting a standby officer. The juvenile has been assessed and no 10-13 has been signed yet.
  • Suspicious Persons – Subjects asking for money at the intersection of W Spring and S Broad. Subjects were escorted to Fish on S Madison to get the help they needed.
  • EMS Assist – W Marable St – Female subject stabbed her vehicle multiple times, in the process received a laceration to her hand and finger. EMS asked PD to respond quickly due to his behavior. She was transported to Piedmont Walton.
  • Dispute – Irving Drive. In reference to the plaintiff and his brother who argued about him taking a bath and cleaning the yard. Mediated situation.
  • Mental problem/Violent – ​​Reference to a previous call. Subject on the spot with a knife beating the apartment door. Officers were able to defuse the situation and transported the subject to Piedmont after a 1013 was signed.
  • Welfare Check – Tanglewood Dr – An anonymous complainant says a subject two doors down had been slumped in his chair for two hours. It was checked by EMS. Everything is fine.
  • Road Hazard – Hwy 78 West – In reference to a mattress in the roadway.
  • Fraud – John’s Supermarket – Subject called in reference to possible fraudulent cheques, Report taken.
  • Other Law – MPD – Subject on site requesting to obtain goods from vehicle located at Jay’s operated by Det. Reynolds.
  • Traffic Stop – West Spring/Quality Foods – Subject received a citation for violation of license restrictions.
  • Shoplifting – West Spring Street (Walmart) Female subject was arrested for shoplifting, taken to PD and released on copy of citation after fingerprinting.
  • Suspicious person – Carmichaels – Subject to loitering on the spot, he was advised to move on.
  • Dispute – Walker Dr – In reference to a female and male subject stating that they were going to fight the plaintiff. The subjects had left when officers arrived.
  • Dispute – Davis St in reference to a verbal argument over an eviction, report taken, all is well.
  • Conflict – The subject of Pine Park St Male informed that minors had damaged his vehicle. They were all gone when officers arrived.
  • Strolling – East Church St in reference to a male subject on the spot sleeping. He was arrested for L&P and transported to prison.
  • Juvenile Runaway – Bridgeport Ln. In reference to juvenile fugue. It was located in the home of Pine Park St and Lacy St by his mother
  • Prowler – Mayfield Dr. In reference to someone looking in the trucks, area checked, all good.
  • Fraud – New Lacy & Wall St – In reference to the female subject, a named subject stole money from her bank card. BShe had provided him with the pin code to get his money. Civil remedies advised.
  • Theft – West Spring St. In reference to four young men who failed to pay their bill. Controlled area for evacuation vehicle with negative contact.
  • Unknown Law – E Fambrough St – In reference to a complainant calling about matters lying around postboxes.
